Today felt like as good a time as any to kickstart the SEEVA blog. It’s something we’ve been meaning to do for awhile but, as any startup founder knows, it fell down the priority list. Today is the day!
We have two goals for this blog. Provide a place for everyone to read about what’s happening at SEEVA and give some insight into what it takes to build a startup, what we’re learning and what’s happening in the mobility sector that everyone should know about. Jere and I know how challenging it can be to build a business from the ground up and we’re adamant about paying it forward and helping entrepreneurs who are going through the same challenges. I hope everyone finds some value in our musings.
If you have any feedback or would like to collaborate on blog ideas, we’d love to hear from you. Reach our full blog team at firstname.lastname@example.org.
SEEVA is also a week out from our big funding announcement. We closed a $2 million seed round and welcomed Trucks VC, Dynamo VC, Expansion VC, Haystack VC and Revolution’s Rise of the Rest Seed Fund® to our investors team.
We’re using the cash to hire some excellent executives to our team. More on that front coming very soon. We’re also investing in continued development of SEEVAtherm and R&D resources to build additional products Jere is dreaming up!
With R&D driving our business, we’re on the hunt for a few great interns, in relevant engineering programs, who want to pursue auto-mobility component research and development. If you’re interested or know anyone, please send resumes to email@example.com.
Lastly, I recently had the opportunity to sit down with Sarah Schmid Stevenson over at Xconomy. We instantly bonded over having fathers who worked in the auto industry and she perfectly captured the excitement and energy Jere and I both feel being able to be each other’s cheerleaders and work together. She’s one talented storyteller! Check out the full piece on SEEVA here. And for more coverage on our funding announcement, find SEEVA in GeekWire, TechCrunch and VentureBeat.
Look out for more from Jere, myself and the full SEEVA team soon!
