LEAD Electrical Engineer

Position Overview 

As a Lead Electrical Engineer in SEEVA’s R&D group, you’ll work with a growth-minded team to advance SEEVA’s perception surface cleaning technology. In this position you’ll be responsible for working with others to design, prototype, and validate the SEEVAtherm Family of Products. You’ll be a part of a small, nimble team reporting directly to our CTO.

Qualifications and Skills 

  • You’re passionate about engineering as a discipline, as demonstrated by a series of professional or personal projects that show your exceptional curiosity as to how and why engineering systems work they way they do, and how you personally have repeatedly iterated on and driven improved performance outcomes of engineered systems.

  • You like to get your hands dirty, and have an extremely “hands-on” work style with a demonstrated capability to work with wide array of electro-mechanical devices and systems.

  • You’re skilled in electronics design, including modern prototyping approaches. 

  • You’re an expert in circuit design, PCB layout, prototyping and testing. 

  • You have some experience with embedded software development on electrical systems. 

  • You have some familiarity with automotive technology and some experience working on or around vehicles.  

  • You’re familiar with and know how to use a variety of test equipment.   

  • You have a highly flexible personality, with good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. 

  • You operate well both in a team with multiple dependencies, and also independently without regular oversight. You’re results-minded, schedule-conscious, self-motivated, and you want to see your team succeed. 

  • You have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

  • You have 5-10 years professional experience in an engineering role, and have experience formally mentoring peers and managing junior team members. 

Responsibilities 

  • You will plan, manage, execute, document and communicate results of product development and testing activities.

  • You will work within a small, agile team of professionals to balance time, budgets, and results in alignment with developed individual, group, and corporate objectives. 

  • You will manage and maintain experimental readiness of laboratory equipment. 

  • You will manage, guide and peer mentor new team members as our team grows.

SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGN Engineer

Position Overview 

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer in SEEVA’s R&D group, you’ll work with a growth-minded team to advance SEEVA’s perception surface cleaning technology. In this position you’ll be responsible for working with others to design, prototype, and validate the SEEVAtherm Family of Products. You’ll be a part of a small, nimble team reporting directly to our CTO.

  • You’re an expert in Solid Works CAD, and you have familiarity with computational modeling and analysis tools (MatLab, Ansys, Cosmos). 

  • You have some experience working with electronic system design, integration of electrical systems into mechanical designs, and possibly some programming capabilities. 

  • You have some familiarity with automotive technology and some experience working on or around vehicles.  

  • You’re familiar with and know how to use a variety of test equipment, including sensor and transducer technologies as used in research (thermocouples, flow meters).   

  • You have a highly flexible personality, with good verbal, written, and presentation communication skills. 

  • You operate well both in a team with multiple dependencies, and also independently without regular oversight. You’re results-minded, schedule-conscious, self-motivated, and you want to see your team succeed.
